When farmers are asked what keeps them up at night, common responses are “making sure all the jobs are done well and at the right time” and “ensuring everyone is safe and goes home at the end of the day”.
Fatigue is a risk factor on farms that can impact safety.
The nature of work in agriculture means practical solutions may not be simply transferred from other industries, and the thoughts of those involved in the industry about how fatigue at work on the farm is managed are being sought.
Register your interest to participate in a two-hour workshop (including a free lunch/dinner) where you’ll learn more about strategies that we’ve seen work in other industries such as rail, aviation, and mining. Give your thoughts on what contributes to fatigue and how on-farm fatigue could be managed.
