Compressed Air Light & Power delivers seamless on-farm operations

PORTABLE lighting and compressed air are integral elements of harvest, and Compressed Air Light & Power in Moree has everything required to make on-farm bunker and silo operations as seamless as possible.

CALP began preparing in August for what is expected to be a near-record harvest across the district, and will continue operations on- and off-farm through to late January.

CALP’s experienced staff will extensively cover north-western New South Wales and south-west Queensland, assisting growers, grain accumulators and contractors during one of the busiest times of the year in agriculture.

CALP director Joff Cannington, who established the family-owned business 14 years ago, said Compressed Air Light & Power delivers a non-stop service throughout regional New South Wales and Queensland – especially during harvest.

Joff knows what he’s talking about.

With more than 14 years’ experience with Atlas Copco machines, he has an extensive knowledge of rebuilding compressors and specialises in compressed air for agriculture, applying protective coatings, spraying shotcrete, and the mining and construction sectors.

“We’re at it 24/7 and our involvement with harvest is portable power, lighting and compressors,” Joff said.

“We also do temporary water transfer solutions if – God forbid – there’s a wet harvest.”

CALP, at 55 Tycannah Street in East Moree, provide portable LED lighting for bunkers, maintenance areas and high-risk worksites.

CALP has a fleet of rental air compressors, readily available to manage silo complexes, remove dust, operate hopper doors, and clean bins, elevators and pits.

“In the field, we have a range of portable air compressor options to support maintenance of machines from 100 litres per second of air to 425 litres per second,” Joff said.

CALP also offers a full range of in-field support options around hosing, reels and wands for machine maintenance.

Operations manager, Jess Pagan, said CALP offered multiple options for power generation.

“We supply new, used and off-the-shelf Atlas Copco equipment and custom-built units for construction, civil and civic entities, agriculture as well as light to heavy industry applications,” Jess said.

“We have a range of high quality rental lights and rental generator units. There is also a range of hire and ownership programs available, tailor-made to the end-users’ need.

“On-site power generation supply and technical support after purchase is a specialty for us,” Jess said.

“If you need it, we can do it – so long as you start with a quality product like Atlas Copco.

“We offer prime power solutions in both 415v and 240v – three-phase and single phase – to power up transportable accommodation units and ablution blocks, 24 hours a day,  seven days a week.”

CALP generators can be applied to weighbridges and bird cages – anything on-site or on-farm needing power or emergency power should grid failure occur.

“We offer a full range of standby options when grid failure occurs – auto-start, auto-make and auto-stop when grid power returns,” Jess said.

Compressed Air Light & Power services more than 200 businesses across a diverse range of industries and provides a choice of up to 30 different machines for rental or purchase.

“We are the north-western New South Wales and south-western Queensland dealer for Atlas Copco – a global company that has been around for more than 150 years – and rent, sell and support Atlas Copco pumps, air compressors, light towers and generators,” Joff said.
