Moree’s Agri-Storage now has the Grain Space

PERMANENT storage for more than 75,000 tonnes of grain is now available in Moree as north-western New South Wales prepares for one of the biggest wheat harvests on record.

Newly formed ag company Grainspace Pty Ltd has recently purchased Haddad’s Bulk Storage in the industrial area of Moree, with locally-owned Agri-Storage & Logistics managing the site.

With more 20 years’ industry expertise, Agri-Storage is committed to delivering tailored, efficient and reliable grain storage, said CEO Peter Hobday.

The site has permanent storage for 77,000 tonnes of grain and is in the process of building 100,000 tonnes of bunker storage.

“This is to cater for the expected large demand for pulses in the up-coming harvest,” Mr Hobday said.

Grainspace will focus on pulses, chickpeas and faba beans and small segregation of wheat.

“We are looking to service growers in the pulse industry rather than the grower having to travel out of Moree for their needs to be met,” Mr Hobday said.

“Delivery options will be through warehousing and delivery contracts, with all major pulse traders such as Agri-Om, ETG, JK International, LDC, Agri-Direct and Arrow, buying into the site and supplying daily cash prices,” he said.

Agri-Storage & Logistics’ main focus will be efficient turnaround times and flexible operating hours as well as good communication with growers to cater for their harvest demand. Mr Hobday said there were seasonal employment opportunities at Agri-Storage in Moree as well as the company’s Pinkenba site in Brisbane.

“There are full-time positions available in Moree and Brisbane as well.”

Future planning for Grainspace Pty Ltd and the Moree site is to expand into containerisation.

“We are building advanced containerising systems to ensure the safe handling, transportation, and storage of commodities, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety,” Mr Hobday said.

He said Agri-Storage and Grainspace PTY LTD are committed to providing innovative and effective solutions for all storage needs.

“Our mission is to ensure farmers and agricultural businesses have access to high-quality storage options that are reliable, durable, and affordable,” Mr Hobday said.

“Whether it be large-scale or small storage solutions for grain, our team of professionals will exceed expectations.

“We are always striving to improve our services to better meet the evolving needs of the agricultural industry.

“ With our solutions, clients can rest easy knowing their valuable agricultural products and assets are safe and secure, ready for use whenever needed,” he said.
