AN innovative trade show and field day at Pallamallawa next month is expected to bring more than 300 attendees from across the region to see new and innovative farm practices that deliver real-world regenerative, commercial applications.
The September 11 event, a collaboration between PURE Grain and Boolah Farms, includes a trade show at the Pally Pub at 8am, followed by an in-the-field tour of a trial farm and grain site from 10am.
Farmers, industry representatives, agricultural companies, and agronomists and consultants, will meet and hear from key industry representatives and trial partners.
The field day aims to help participants gain insights into innovative practices and technologies that shape the future of agriculture by utilising products and technologies that create innovation pathways.
Founded by Pallamallawa farmer Stuart Tighe, PURE Grain Network represents a significant evolution in linking farmers directly to grain end-users.
“The focus of this event is to provide practical insights and strategies that can be implemented on the ground, at commercial scale,” Mr Tighe said.
“We want people to leave with a clear understanding of what the sustainability drivers are for end-users and how they can reduce reliance on synthetic inputs, decrease emissions, and ultimately build a more sustainable farming future.”
Mr Tighe has pioneered more consistent returns in agricultural land investments through the Co-Farm model.
His work has innovated the grain industry by highlighting direct farmer-end user collaboration to maximise margins and benefits.
Through Boolah Farms and PURE Grain Network, Mr Tighe enhances supply chain value while improving end-user traceability and validation, optimising the entire ‘seed-t sip’ journey.
“By bringing together experts from across the supply chain, we aim to foster collaboration and innovation,” he said.
“It’s about finding solutions that work across the entire supply chain – from growers to end-users –
and ensuring a more efficient and sustainable agricultural landscape.”
A key feature will be a panel session focused on integrating the supply chain into a whole-of-enterprise regenerative and data-validated framework.
Kristina Hermanson from Nuveen Natural Capital, Dave Engel from Asahi Beverages, Dean Ganino from Barrett Burston Malt, and Matthew Durack from PURE Grain Network.
Each speaker will bring to the table extensive experience at various stages of the supply chain and offer insights into current and future trends.
