Rumble Roadshow skates into Armidale

A free event in Armidale next week will bring some of Australia’s best skateboarders to town, providing an unforgettable experience for the community.

Following the success of Australia’s Olympic skateboarding campaign, which resulted in two gold medals, interest in the sport is at an all-time high.

The Rumble Roadshow aims to harness this enthusiasm by offering local youth the opportunity to engage with the sport in a fun and supportive environment.

There will be live demonstrations from elite national skateboarders, meet-and-greet sessions with pro skaters, free skateboarding lessons with accredited Level Two coaches, competitions, prizes and merchandise giveaways

Armidale Regional Council mayor, Sam Coupland, said the Rumble Roadshow is a community-focused event designed to inspire and develop local talent.

“This event provides an incredible opportunity for our community to experience the thrill of skateboarding firsthand, learn from the best, and be inspired to develop new skills,” Cr Coupland said.

“Investing in events like this helps our youth build confidence, stay active, and connect with their peers in a positive and healthy way.

“We are proud to support initiatives that foster youth engagement and well-being,” he said.
