Beauty Matters goes to France and brings a piece of Paris back to Moree

IT’S a tough gig, but someone has to do it.

Being Moree’s leading skin therapist means the odd overseas trip is part of the workload, and Beauty Matters Moree’s Natalee Cook knows the grind only too well.

Natalee recently returned home from a two-week working holiday in France as part of a recognition program offered to PAYOT’s most successful partners across Australia.

PAYOT is the globally-regarded French skincare brand founded in 1920 by Dr Nadia Payot, and is known for its professional-grade skincare products and treatments.

“The trip was an opportunity to visit the birthplace of PAYOT in Paris, immerse ourselves in the brand’s heritage, and deepen our understanding of their skincare philosophy,” Natalee said.

Natalee travelled with a small group of beauty professionals, including her daughter Kassiah, and four team members from PAYOT Australia.

“There were ten PAYOT salon partners from various parts of the country. It was a wonderful mix of passionate professionals who all share a commitment to the brand,” Natalee said.

The annual trip to France is part of an initiative that’s been running for more than 20 years, supported jointly by PAYOT Paris and PAYOT Australia.

“I was first invited in 2018 and am incredibly proud to have qualified every eligible year since,” Natalee said.

“While Covid put a pause on the program for three years, this was my fourth trip with the PAYOT family.

“Each time is just as inspiring as the last and reinforces why I continue to align Beauty Matters with such an exceptional brand,” she said.

While two weeks in Europe  during France’s late spring and early summer – perfect weather for a Parisian excursion – seems like an incredible holiday, there was plenty of work to be done.

The trip included an intensive five-day training schedule and tour of PAYOT’s central hub at Neuilly-sur-Seine, as well as some downtime in the south of France and Amsterdam.

“One of the most exciting parts of the trip was our day at PAYOT’s headquarters, where we received hands-on training, participated in marketing discussions tailored to Australia, and previewed the upcoming product innovations,” Natalee said.

“PAYOT’s mother laboratory is located on-site, which means we experienced direct insight into the science behind their formulas.”

And those formulas have developed some exciting new products ready to hit the global market in the coming months.

“While we’re bound by confidentiality regarding some upcoming launches, I can share there’s a new anti-ageing range launching in September, featuring innovative formulas that I cannot wait to introduce to our clients – and use myself,” Natalee smiled.

Being part of ground-breaking trends led by PAYOT, means Natalee’s clients at Beauty Matters Moree receive the best treatments available as they’re developed.

“For me, it’s the confidence in knowing that Beauty Matters is aligned with a brand that blends nature and science so harmoniously,” Natalee said.

“PAYOT truly offers results-driven skincare backed by clinical testing and provides luxurious salon treatments that genuinely make a visible difference to skin health.”

While the workload was enjoyably hectic, there was still time to discover everything France has to offer.

“Without a doubt, the biggest highlight was sharing the experience with my beautiful daughter, Kassiah,” Natalee said.

“As she’s been involved with Beauty Matters, PAYOT extended an invitation for Kassiah to join us during our time in Paris. It was incredibly special to have her there and to share this part of my journey with her.”

Travelling overseas to learn and explore new concepts in the beauty industry is an integral part of ensuring Natalee’s clients at her Balo Street salon have immediate access to world-class treatments and trends.

In 2016, Natalee travelled to Beijing to further her skills at an advanced Cosmetic Tattoo Conference and training course.

“It was a valuable experience that’s contributed to the quality of services we offer at Beauty Matters,” Natalee said.

“I feel very grateful to be part of such a connected, forward-thinking professional community. These trips aren’t just a reward – they’re a reminder of the values, commitment and innovation that underpin the work we do at Beauty Matters every day,” she said.
