Blood testing transferred to Moree Hospital

NSW Health Pathology and Hunter New England Local Health District have assured the Moree community high-quality pathology services will still be available when testing and collection services are transferred from St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Limited (SydPath).

From Monday, September 10, 2024, pathology collection services will temporarily relocate from

Moree’s Frome St Collection Centre to Moree Hospital while the service is transferred and accredited.

“NSW Health Pathology looks forward to welcoming the community to a brand-new collection centre soon and will confirm a re-opening date once formal arrangements are finalised,” a NSW Health Pathology spokesperson said.

“We appreciate the community’s patience during the transition period and apologise for any inconvenience.”

Karen Munn has managed the Pathology Collection Centre since 1992 and will continue the service at Moree Hospital.

“That’s a long time. As such, I have taken nearly everyone’s blood in the Shire at one time or another,” Mrs Munn smiled.

The Moree Hospital pathology collection service is located at Moree Hospital and will be open from 7.30am until 4pm Monday to Friday.

Free parking is available adjacent to the hospital on Alice Street and Victoria Terrace.
