The competition, sponsored by McGregor Gourlay Moree, is always keenly contested, and photographers are encouraged to submit their work to Mark Coulton’s office at 69 Heber Street this week.

There are more than 30 categories for all ages, from kindergarten upwards. There is an open section for all ages as well as junior sections, including secondary school Years 7-12, primary Years 3-6 and infants Years 1 and 2.

There’s even a kindergarten and pre-school category. Open section images need to be 15cm x 20cm – or 6x8s in the old money – and fixed to black cardboard with a 2.5cm border.

People submitting entries are encourages to mount photos using a glue or glue stick that won’t “buckle” the images. Double-sided sticky-tape is also an ideal option.

Moree photographer Kerry Hine, the most successful senior exhibitor at the 2022 Moree Show, will be back this year with a collection images.
