Come-and-try barefoot water skiing in Moree October 26-27

THERE are still spots available for the come-and-try barefoot water skiing events at Moree Water Park on Saturday and Sunday, October 26-27, with spectators and visitors welcome to come along and watch the action.

The two-day event, with training provided by NSW Barefoot Waterski Club, is for people of all ages to experience the excitement of barefoot waterskiing under expert guidance.

The sessions provide a fun and supportive environment to get started in barefoot waterskiing or to simply try out the sport.

The NSW Barefoot Water Ski Club is the NSW division of the Australian Barefoot Water Ski Club, known as Barefoot Water Ski Australia, and operates under the policies and procedures of Waterski & Wakeboard Australia.

Moree Water Park president Guy Braybrook said visitors and spectators were welcome both days.

“Spectators are welcome to view the lessons and training sessions and explore the park while they’re out there,” he said.

“The NSW Barefoot Water Ski Club is supplying a specialised boat and all the floatation and training gear required.”

Guy said Moree Waterski Club, Nutrien Ag Solutions and the Gall family are sponsoring the fuel and accommodation for the NSW Barefoot Club president and two experienced instructors to come to Moree for the weekend.

“The come-and-try day is open to people of all ages to experience the excitement of barefoot waterskiing under expert guidance, and is open to all interested persons between the ages of eight through to 80,” he said.

“Even if you’re a complete beginner, these sessions provide a fun and supportive environment to get started or to try out the sport.”
